How the game works

A tile clears when its number equals how many tiles sit in its row or column run. Clearing a tile cracks open the grays beside it, revealing new numbers that may clear in turn — that is where chains come from. Every 6 drops a new row pushes up from the bottom; let it reach the top and the run ends.

Common questions

Why can't I replay today's daily challenge?
The daily gives every player the same board and one attempt — that is what makes the score comparable. A new board arrives at 00:00 UTC. Endless mode can be played as often as you like.

I closed the app in the middle of a daily run.
Reopen it and the board is exactly where you left it. Progress is saved on every drop.

My streak survived a day I missed.
You had a streak freeze banked. You earn one for every five days of streak, up to two, and they are spent automatically on a missed day.

Leaderboards are empty or won't load.
Leaderboards come from Game Center. Check Settings → Game Center on your device and make sure you are signed in. The game is fully playable without it.

I'm not getting the daily reminder.
Turn it on in the game's settings, and check that notifications are allowed for Countdrop in the iOS Settings app.

Restoring progress

Your progress is mirrored to your own iCloud, so a new phone picks it up on its own. Sign in to the new device with the same Apple Account, make sure iCloud is on, and open Countdrop — the save is restored as the game launches. Settings inside the game shows whether iCloud sync is on.

There is no account to sign in to and no server of ours involved; the save sits in your iCloud, where only your devices can reach it.

If you play on two devices, the one further along wins: whichever save has more progress in it is the one that is kept, whole. And if you are not signed in to iCloud, nothing is mirrored — progress stays on that device only.
